I graduated from college in 2010, and then I worked on Wall Street. I was doing equity research, so covering tech stocks. Around 2018, I just got a really bad bonus one year, and I was a little fed up. I had heard that there was a guy up in our Boston office who had been investing in real estate, and I was reading about different side hustles, ways to make passive income on the side. And when you do that, as you guys probably already know, everything kind of points back to real estate.
There was a guy up in our Boston office who a couple of guys in the New York office knew who was really killing it, investing in real estate in Philadelphia. So I got on the phone with him.
